It feels great to work with a team where they treat you like family and support you.
How long have you worked at Examity?
Since January of 2020.
What work do you do here, and why do you find it gratifying?
I started with Examity as an intern for an eight-month co-op. Upon my graduation, I joined as a full-time employee, working as a full-stack developer on the CEO software scrum team.
Examity provides me with plenty of opportunities to work on new and interesting projects. The majority of my work today focuses on enhancing the test-taker’s proctoring experience – something I find very rewarding. There is tremendous collaboration among my team, which allows us to achieve complex tasks in a seamless and efficient manner. Needless to say, I learn a lot from my team members.
Why do you love working with your colleagues?
My colleagues are always available to help and guide me, while I expand my technical knowledge and skill set. Although we follow a distributed team architecture, meaning people work and collaborate together from all over the world, we never let time differences become an obstacle. It feels great to work with a team where they treat you like family and support you.
What was the biggest unexpected challenge you faced when first starting with Examity?
I did not face any unexpected challenges when I first started working at Examity. From the interview to the onboarding process, everything was really smooth. One crucial obstacle we faced came later, when COVID hit and we had to switch to a remote working environment. However, as a team, we worked together during those unprecedented times and adapted to the change without affecting our overall productivity.
What advice do you have for prospective Examity employees?
There are plenty of opportunities and interesting projects at Examity. We work together as a team. It seems that everyone is willing to lend a hand with questions and projects. Overall, I would highly recommend Examity as a great place for a software engineer to learn and grow.
