Online proctoring is a delicate balance. For test-takers who are getting ready to take their exams online, there are so many things to consider outside of the actual exam material. That’s why it is crucial to make sure that everything is ready in advance, so that when the exam is ready to begin, the focus is on the exam and not on the exam proctoring. 

What are the ways to accomplish this? It can be broken down into three key preparations that the test-taker must do: 

• Prepping their environment
• Prepping their device
• Preparing themselves by having enough time to check-in and get settled
