Employee Spotlight

How long have you worked at Examity?
Since September of 2019.

What work do you do here, and why do you find it gratifying?
As Senior Accountant, I work within the administrative department and help make sure the accounting/financial responsibilities of the company are being handled appropriately. These responsibilities span everything from paying our business vendors, invoicing customers, making sure we are being paid promptly for the service(s) we provide, researching discrepancies/variances, and conducting reconciliations to ensure we close out our books monthly. I’ve enjoyed developing strong business relationships with my coworkers and Examity’s vendors and clients.

Why do you love working with your colleagues?
Everyone here is a top-notch professional who is highly skilled and experienced in their respective areas. The Examity team is very supportive of each other and always willing to help in any way they can.

What was the biggest, unexpected challenge you faced when first starting with Examity?
The sudden, dramatic shift to fully remote work in March of 2020, which was brought on by the pandemic. While it was challenging to adapt to this new environment and switch to 100 percent virtual collaboration with my team, not, Examity has done a good job at acclimating to the changes, creating an inclusive team culture, and setting employees up for remote work success.

What advice do you have for prospective Examity employees?
Never be afraid to ask questions and learn as much as you can to master your defined area of responsibility. Be willing to jump in and make suggestions for how the company can continue to improve processes going forward! The team here listens to feedback and wants to continually better itself.
