Examity Named to BBJ’s Fast 50 for Third Consecutive Year
Online proctoring leader recognized for continued growth amidst increasingly dynamic assessment landscape
Boston, November 23, 2020
We’re thrilled to announce that Examity has been recognized as the 12th fastest-growing company in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal’s annual Fast 50 list. Based on a calculation of revenue growth from 2016 to 2019, this honor is particularly exciting for us as recognition of the Examity team’s passion and resilience at a time of economic change and volatility.
This is our third straight year as one of the state’s fastest-growing organizations, and it reflects our team’s commitment to addressing a rising demand for secure online assessment solutions. In the past year alone, digital learning has become increasingly popular among both higher education institutions, certification providers, and employers. Recent research suggests that even before the pandemic, more than one-third of all college students took at least one course online, and nine in 10 employers offered digital learning to meet the needs of workers who value the flexibility and personalization of online programs.
Of course, the coming months will continue to bring uncertainty in the assessment industry as test providers navigate the ongoing fallout from the pandemic and its impact on the testing process. 2020 has brought both profound challenges and new opportunities to the assessment industry: in the past six months, we’ve heard from organizations that never would have considered online proctoring before, and have now found themselves able to provide access that expands opportunity for test-takers around the world. It’s these sorts of silver linings that have inspired our team, even as the outlook for the next few months remains unclear.
We’re grateful to the Boston Business Journal for this recognition, and look forward to continuing to help our partners navigate new complexities and pursue innovations as 2021 approaches.
