Jim Holm brings more than two decades of experience at the helm of fast-growing assessment and certification companies

Newton, MA, January 5, 2021

Examity today announced that its CEO Jim Holm has been elected to the board of directors at the Association of Test Publishers (ATP). The global organization representing publishers and assessment service providers across the testing industry, the ATP’s mission is to advance the field of assessment through events, advocacy work, and sharing best practices among both its members and the industry as a whole.

“Jim’s election to the Board of Directors comes at an exciting and challenging time. The assessment industry, including remote services, is experiencing rapid change and at the same time the ATP is re-imagining its global role in this emerging new world of assessment,” said William G. Harris, Chief Executive Officer of ATP. “I look forward to Jim contributing his wealth of expertise and knowledge to the Board’s collective effort to guide ATP through today’s unprecedented global disruption while leading the Association toward tomorrow’s future of sustainable growth.”

A veteran executive in the field of assessment, Holm has nearly two decades of experience leading high-growth education and technology companies. Prior to joining Examity, he served as CEO of Performance Assessment Network (acquired by PSI Online) and Executive Vice President for the leading certification provider Certiport, continuing in that role after Certiport’s acquisition by Pearson in 2012. Holm began his career in IT training and network engineering for city and state governments, as well as large corporations, and has run private postsecondary schools, promoted certification programs for IT companies, and served as an IT consultant and trainer.

“As 2020 reshapes the landscape of online assessment, it’s become increasingly critical that providers prioritize test integrity and security,” said Holm. “I look forward to collaborating with ATP’s leadership to help the industry proactively address the continued challenges and opportunities that we will face in the wake of COVID-19.”

As an ATP board member, Holm will contribute deep insight into the increasingly dynamic landscape of assessment rooted in his work at Examity, which was recently named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies. As one of the fastest-growing education technologies in North America, Examity has spent two consecutive years on Deloitte’s Fast 500, and has also been honored for three straight years as one of the fastest-growing businesses in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal.
