How long have you worked at Examity?
I’ve been working at Examity for a year. It was just my first-year anniversary!
What is your role at Examity, and why do you find it gratifying?
I work as a performance engineer, where I test our applications and infrastructure so that we can give our customers a fast and stable testing experience. It is very gratifying to see how Examity’s solutions develop and continue to evolve.
Why do you love working with your colleagues?
I love working with my colleagues! Not only is everyone friendly, but they’re also always eager to help one another. As a performance engineer, I have to understand the ins and outs of the application, infrastructure, data, and traffic volume. I’ve been able to truly understand these due to guidance from different teams and my colleagues.
What have you learned since starting with Examity?
There are many things I’ve learned in the past year, including integrating performance tests into the CICD pipeline, which has streamlined the testing experience and reduced our testing time. In addition to that, I’ve learned how to use application performance monitoring to help identify performance bottlenecks. This has helped expedite troubleshooting performance problems. Not only that, but I’m now an expert in Java and C, and I’ve also had opportunities to use Python and Go.
What advice do you have for prospective Examity employees?
Always be eager to learn, even if something is outside your area of expertise and responsibility. You never know when it will come in handy.
Fun fact your colleagues might not know about you.
I love practicing Taekwondo! I started practicing it with my children, and we earned our black belts together.
