How long have you worked at Examity?
I have been working at Examity since July 2021.
What is your role at Examity, and why do you find it gratifying?
I am a Technical Support Engineer! I find it gratifying to work through technical problems to find both short and long-term solutions.
Why do you love working with your colleagues?
Something that I particularly appreciate about working at Examity is that all of my colleagues are always willing to share advice or lend a helping hand. Working in support, there are many times that I’ve needed a second opinion or historical context on an issue. Thankfully, everyone that I work with is very generous with their time and knowledge. It’s really refreshing working in such a friendly and collaborative environment.
What was the most unexpected challenge that you faced when first starting with Examity?
This wasn’t really unexpected, or much of a challenge, but working with colleagues that have different working hours and contrasting shifts than me was a little different than my previous experiences. I have worked at companies with an international presence in the past, but in those situations, I normally had more of a built-in overlap in time zones. However, with tools like Slack and Zoom, the difference in working hours is totally manageable.
What advice do you have for prospective Examity employees?
Ask a ton of questions if there’s something you don’t know about! Everyone is really friendly and willing to share information, so there’s no need to sit on a question that you need answered.
Fun fact your colleagues might not know about you.
I originally went to school for art before switching to computer science. I still enjoy drawing and doodling as my analog hobby.
When I’m not at Examity, I’m probably ___.
…at home with my boyfriend! I am very much a homebody, and I enjoy baking, cooking, and taking on small home improvement projects.
