Position Overview
Reporting to the VP of Professional Services, the Sales Engineer will assist the business development teams in a pre-sale’s role, helping to manage and close new business and expansion opportunities. In addition, this role will partner with the engineering team to convey requirements and technical options for clients and partners. Finally, the Sales Engineer will assist in educating Examity employees, partners, and new product users on our solution. 

 Essential Duties

  • Administer pre-sales support for new and existing clients.
  • Work with sales and marketing to respond to technical RFI/RFP questions.
  • Aid in the creation of product training and documentation materials.
  • Contribute to the design of a cutting-edge EdTech solution.
  • Articulate and demonstrate our learning validation and online proctoring solution, influence customer’s technical requirements, and position products relative to the competition.
  • Provide the implementation team with all necessary documentation for the successful completion of the project (including solution configurations and diagrams).
  • Maintain an in-depth level of technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications.

Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent four-year college technical degree.
  • 2+ years of presales experience.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, to industry events, prospect and partner sites.
  • Proven track record of selling, building, and/or deploying technology solutions.
  • Outstanding follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and technical support skills.
  • Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Working knowledge of vendor products and technologies in the education industry is preferred.

Position Overview

The Chief Architect’s role oversees all end-to-end architecture including infrastructure, database and software components. This person will provide architectural oversight and governance processes with the team, application, and product to ensure consistency across offerings both at a business and enterprise level. We are seeking an innovative, hands-on leader who will create, communicate and drive our technology strategy. This position reports to the CTO.

Essential Duties

  • Work at the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering, and design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Azure & AWS.
  • Provide guidance to end-to-end architecture working across cross functional teams, documenting design principles on messaging and interaction across components.
  • Serve as the technical champion of systems and its interaction at scale.
  • Provide PaaS offerings that are easy to consume, elastic, secure, and reliable using commercially available cloud solutions.
  • Bring together cross-functional teams and build automation to deliver programmable infrastructure. Design the cloud and container strategy around SaaS Solutions.
  • Provide well-informed guidance regarding the application of the platform and other supporting technologies to assist in the deployment of public & private cloud service offerings. This includes developing the company’s public and private cloud roadmap and extending functionality.
  • Facilitate guidance on definition of done, examine test coverage with focus on scalability, performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with the operations team on complex issues and incidents effecting customer base.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, bridging our technical and business audiences during solution planning, development, and deployment.
  • Influence business stakeholders on strategic product direction.
  • Establish enterprise-wide architecture practices that are used by various architects to ensure Examity’s vision can be diligently executed upon.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in defining architecture strategies. Background as a chief architect or principal-level enterprise architect for an entire organization or a large portfolio.
  • Experience providing strategic technology direction and architecture vision, encompassing an enterprise view across a large portfolio of capabilities.
  • Exposure to large scale B2B cloud companies with global presence.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure and associated cloud technologies, Microservices, and DevOps tools and technologies is a requirement. Should possess building strategies for Cloud and APIs enablement and usage, with associated architecture concepts for security, native vs. containerization and multi-cloud abilities.
  • Expertise in building applications, solutions and reusable capabilities as well as integration with SaaS solutions using superior security, standard methodologies and leading technologies.
  • Extensive experience in defining technology blueprints and roadmaps that include establishing technology standards and policies.
  • Advanced programming experience with Python, Java, C#, or equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, database design, data quality, tools, processes and governance.
  • Ability to work in a ‘hands-on’ environment that requires a consultative, collaborative approach and solutions that span multiple business functions.
  • Possess a performance engineering background with eye for scaling solutions is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development at scale, including Agile, SCRUM.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure including web server, app servers, DNS server, load balancing and security posture in DC as well as in public cloud.

Position Overview
The Senior Scrum Master at Examity will guide, coach and mentor no more than three Agile teams toward achieving their objectives in delivering software to our customers. This Senior Scrum Master role will be a leader to a number of distributed engineering teams. Must be energized by start-up environments and be driven to make an impact.

 

Essential Duties

  • Foster trust and collaboration across all team members and be an expert at conflict resolution. This includes creating a space where colleagues can challenge and experiment.
  • Support the Product Owner to ensure the Agile artifacts used by the team are healthy.
  • Guide teams towards high performance and promote continuous improvement for all functions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and foster cross-team communication.
  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communication effectively.
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the organization and coaching towards a higher level at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
  • Facilitate team-level Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and iteration planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in an Agile organization delivering SaaS based products.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile Methodologies and ideally other disciplines (i.e. Lean, XP practices).
  • Be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a distributed environment with team members on and off-shore.
  • Ability to facilitate different approaches to typical Agile work (story sizing approaches, different retrospective techniques, etc.).

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Newton, MA)

Position Overview
The Senior SDET is responsible for extending and maintaining our automated test suite. This includes coverage for front-end, API, and backend jobs. This individual will work closely with product managers, UX, engineering, DevOps, and quality assurance teams both on and off-shore under an Agile process.

  • Develop automated test suites and testing methodologies to meet our needs with respect to performance, scalability and other goals.

 Key Deliverables of the Role 

  • Lead day to day IT Infrastructure team in 24×7 IT operations in cloud SaaS environment 
  • Ensure a high SLA with customers by leading team during outages and careful, detailed reporting 
  • Manage multiple IT vendors and managed service providers 
  • Work closely with US based technology team to align on shared goals

Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will maintain extensive knowledge of Examity’s products and services and translate capabilities and project roadmaps for a non-technical audience. The Manager assists in the creation of client-facing collateral for the sales and account management teams and provides in-depth analysis on market trends. This individual must be an organized and analytical team player. 

Essential Duties

  • Own go-to-market planning and execution for new product releases, particularly as it relates to new features and enhancements.
  • Build on the sales enablement process to create and maintain collateral, slides, battlecards, competitive insights, etc. to help sales articulate the value of Examity products and services.
  • Craft differentiated and world-class positioning and messaging for our product.

Position Overview 
This exciting Senior Accountant role will collaborate with other accounting and finance professionals at Examity to help ensure no number goes uncounted. The Staff Accountant will support a wide array of accounting functions including monthly close, account reconciliations, customer billing, accounts payable, technical accounting research, and process improvements. They must be capable of working independently and with a team.

 

Essential duties:

  • Support key areas of the monthly financial close to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist in the timely preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules and analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Issue customer invoices and ensure billing compliance with customer contracts.
  • Monitor accounts receivables and aide in collection efforts.
  • Manage AP process. Schedule and prepare payments, ensure all transactions are authorized and properly matched to supporting documents and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Perform technical accounting research and document positions
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improved accounting processes.
  • Communicate with the company’s outside CPA firm and assist with the financial statement audit and tax matters of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting.
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills

    The Project Manager is responsible for providing overall direction, coordination, execution and completion of specific projects to ensure consistency with Examity strategy and goals.
