Machine Learning Engineer (Newton, MA)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced machine learning engineer or data scientist with strong developer skills. The Machine Learning Engineer will apply a broad knowledge of AI and ML techniques to design and implement authentication, proctoring and automation solutions across the Examity product line. As part of a fast-growing and innovative team, you will apply creativity to solve technical challenges.

We authenticate and proctor millions of exams each year. As a result, you will have a vast pool of video data to analyze and leverage. You will use your software engineering skills to help build scalable machine learning models that create value across multiple areas of our products. You will work with product management, engineering and our services teams to propose and test models or applications of technologies that can improve proctoring results and create differentiated products and capabilities. You must be hands-on, creative and able to communicate your approach to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the company.

Familiarity and experience (preferable) using multimedia processing:

  • Cognitive Learning.
  • Facial Detection, Validation, Recognition, Sentiment Analysis frameworks in ML.
  • Video/audio processing frameworks.
  • System behavior detection frameworks.

Essential Duties

  • Work with the AI team in building world-class software, functioning as an AI/ML subject matter expert, and successfully deliver ML applications that impact our business.
  • Partner with product management to identify opportunities to leverage data science to advance Examity’s learning validation platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to define, create and operate AI systems at scale.
  • Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools in video/audio system tasks/programs processing.
  • Develop machine learning applications according to requirements in cognitive analysis.
  • Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods in user behaviors.
  • Run machine learning tests and experiments in user behaviors.
  • Perform statistical analysis and fine-tune using test results.
  • Train and retrain systems using video data.
  • Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks in cognitive frameworks.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Operations Research or a similar field.
  • 3+ years of work experience.
  • A passion for solving real-world problems with machine learning.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience solving problems in some of the following areas: natural language, machine vision, transfer learning, data labeling and classification, regression, information retrieval, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with ML tools such as Tensorflow js.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, Redshift, Spark or other big data tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in a low-level programming language such as Java or C++.

Principal Python Engineer (Newton, MA)

Examity, the world leader in online test integrity and the fastest-growing Edtech company in the United States, is looking for a dedicated Principal Python Engineer to join the growing team in our Newton, MA location.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for working with all elements of our solution, including the front and back end, to enhance, optimize and expand Examity’s leading learning validation solutions. The Principal Python Engineer will work closely with product managers, UX, engineering, DevOps, and quality assurance teams both in-house and offshore.

  • Design and build advanced Cloud, and mobile applications employing the Agile methodology.
  • Build, test, and deploy innovative customer-facing products encompassing a highly intuitive user experience.
  • Teach proper engineering discipline and practices, particularly using Python, while serving as a role model.

Solutions Architect (Newton, MA)

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with clients to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable system architectures. You will partner with Examity teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of Examity services. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. You must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, analytics) and deeply in at least two of those areas.

 

Essential Duties

  • Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the Examity platform.
  • Coordinate with clients, prospects, and sales to collect requirements.
  • Define solutions to meet client business and technical needs.
  • Capture and share best practice knowledge across the Examity team.
  • Act as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams, and support.
  • Establish a trusted advisor relationship with decision makers and senior buyers.
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs (solution engineers, offering, services, etc.) to devise solutions.
  • Determine technical risk and issues and suggest mitigation options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years minimum experience leading integration teams and architecting solutions.
  • Demonstrated experiences architecting services integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and architecting for multiple technical integration project SDLCs (Software Development Life Cycle) end-to-end, sometimes simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively architect solutions within a diverse technical team of client, SIs, contractors, and internal teams.

Part-time Online Proctor (REMOTE)

Examity, the world leader in online test integrity and the fastest-growing Edtech company in the United States, is looking for dedicated Part-time Online Proctors to remotely join our growing team.

Position Overview
In this permanent position, a Part-time Online Proctor will join our team for up to 30 hours per week. Interested in meaningful part-time work? The Proctor will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the integrity of online learning, while allowing for remote work. Paid training will be provided. Both day and evening shifts are available. Examity’s next training class commences on November 30, 2020.

Requirements

  • Hold a college degree.
